Find mechanisms to include as many voices in your system as possible whilst still guarding your time and control. Figure out your versioning story from the get go

Tasks that make the design system easier to evolve like minimising cross-package deps = resilient, a11y color audit = inclusive, testing strategy = resilient

For our design system right now we are working towards being resilient, inclusive, and unified. All of the larger initiatives that we have fall into these categories one way or another, ex aligning the design tools and dev libs = unified

Most design principles end up in this category, and they always seem very navel gazing to me. I prefer vision statements that evolve over time and guide your roadmap

I have been with my partner for a year and I just found out they store bananas in the fridge 😱 on the plus side they just brought me an Aperol spritz in the bath so tradeoffs I guess

Wheelchair user here. I don't actually want or need this. It isn't helpful. It doesn't account for inaccessibility beyond entry points. Tech companies: stop wasting money on building robotic "fixes." Support elimination of structural inaccessibility.
