You’re more delusional than I thought. You haven’t won anything yet. Your tweet reminds me of an outburst from a 5YO prematurely declaring victory, midway through a Candyland game.

Not only does this debate need a female moderator, it needs one who has been home with her kids since March.

Have you been going to the gym at all? I’m not 100% comfortable with the risk so I’ve been avoiding it but would take the dreadmill over running in the heat. One good aspect is some of the studies I’ve read recently about heat training and increased plasma volume as a result 💫

Understandable. The heat + humidity is brutal. I’m 6months pregnant and more often than not, my slowwwww runs turn into jogs then just walking. This morning I managed a run/walk combo but the heat just kills me. And no relief in sight! The forecast looks hot for the next week 😩

Because ran 100mi/week at 7 months along, I feel like I should be able to maintain 15-20 miles/week without much issue... But it’s a lot easier said than done. Some runs (1 out of 10) feel awesome- most are just hard, slow and frustrating.

You’re right - feels good to hear that from experienced runners like u. I know it to be true but get pretty frustrated at my slow paces and lack of ability to maintain my own expectations.

Interesting. Didn’t even think of that. I’m at 11.3 and have added an extra iron tablet to my morning routine so we’ll see if it improves at my next appointment. I feel a bit better, still not “normal” even adjusting for pregnancy

Lol. Yep- this is accurate. We have 4 with a 5th on the way. Saw one of your tweets about running post partum and decided to follow. Did you run through pregnancy? If so: any tips? I just learned my hemoglobin is 11 (I’m at 23 weeks). Running has been a struggle

What does a mask do? Blocks respiratory droplets coming from your mouth and throat. Two simple demos: First, I sneezed, sang, talked & coughed toward an agar culture plate with or without a mask. Bacteria colonies show where droplets landed. A mask blocks virtually all of them.

Yeah, totally agree. I was thinking of going down there to cheer him on, but with the recent spike in cases I just didn’t feel comfortable. I was surprised they didn’t cancel earlier... anyway, at least he’s fit and in great shape! Too bad there are no races.

My brother was on his way there to compete ... it’s a bummer they made the call so late.
