Many a good Obs has said the same to me throughout my career, yet it is clung to by the hordes of labour ward staff. It is research waiting to be done because of the complexity of why it is still used unilaterally. My own research tells that it is simply used out of fear

Peter Brocklehurst pointing out there is little evidence to support CTG use in labour. Why do we train endlessly on their interpretation and criticised for not promptly acting? This time could be used better I think. Inappropriate weighting to its importance.

I can honestly say there is not a more worthy midwife to whom this accolaIde is given. She is gentle, unassuming, kind and honest. I was moved by her story knowing how hard it must have been to be a midwife doing research. All hail Billie.

Franka Cadée: I believe that midwifery is a bastion of feminism. Women’s bodies are being used as a political tool against them around the world and midwives can stand against this.

I've heard from receivers of psychiatric care There have been many positive reports But we simply can't deny the reality that many people feel let down I believe that Wounded Healers (providers & receivers of psychiatric care) Can re-humanize psychiatry And bridge the divide

As far as Ann Widcombe is concerned my main memory of her is when she tried to argue with Stephen Fry that the Catholic Church raping children was fine cuz everyone else was doing it.
