Delighted to be on TV tomorrow night at 6.40pm when I’ll be talking all about growing up on a London houseboat, why performing is more fun than writing, & why my John Le Mesurier show is the most important thing happening in the world today.

Loved the many voices of James Hurn tonight at the Shelly Theatre. Great nostalgia and great impersonations. My favourites were good old Sid James and the legendary Kenneth Williams. Funny scripts made for a great evening’s entertainment.

Very sad news about Ray Wilson. Won the World Cup with England where he didn't miss a single minute of Three Lions action. Also picked up a FA Cup winners medal with Everton in 1966. Brilliant left-back.

Watched Bin and Gone in Brighton on Saturday. Top notch. Would be a hit at London's Museum of Comedy and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Danny Rogers is a natural on stage.
