Correct - and not even default vue/react methods, it uses the excellent to monkey patch XMLHTTPRequest and fetch. So it works with any ajax library!

πŸ‘€ Mirage.js in action with React and Jest! Here's a little test to ensure the TodoApp on fetches its data from the server. Also, I'm really digging react-testing-library ! Had a blast writing my first few tests with it today. πŸ€›

Ember CLI Mirage 1.1 is out, which is a light wrapper around the newly extracted @miragejs/server core library. This should be a completely forwards-compatible release. Enjoy!

Firebase has its own API contract, so if you're eventually going to point to another API for production then you can't really stress that part of your app's logic during dev + testing. Firebase is also kinda a pain to setup & integrate, I'd rather just install an npm package!

We should chat sometime about the HTTP request mocking part! Big fan of your work & fan of high-level application testing. I work on a mocking library in Ember and just started making it framework-agnostic: Need to get familiar with React's testing story!

Stumbled across the "10 Things I Regret About Node.js" talk again this morning and was just browsing through it. So quirky! But man do I hate npm sometimes. Deno's module system is neat. And was surprised to see Deno up to 36k stars on github. Anyone I know out there using it?

Yeah I think we’re going to eventually have an adapter pattern. But yes.

πŸš€ Just launched a site for my new project, ! Mirage is a framework-agnostic JS lib that gives UI developers the power of a real server, entirely within their frontend codebase. Read more about it at

I'll be out of town, but sounds fun! Something else we've talked about is an Ember Animated hackday to get some examples up on the docs site.

After trying and failing several times to build this site, I have a deep, profound new sense of respect for typography.
