Today's AI technology will create a human-machine interface for everything. Humans will still have to think (for now) but AI input/output will give us the world a universal API.

I had an entire email thread with a recruiter where we were both relying 100% on Gmail auto-generated responses. This is good for productivity, bad for humanity. Which is good if you're pro-production, anti/neutral on humanity

It's getting there one way or another (AI being ubiquitous). I hope AI gets done right and gets democratized, and hopefully it'll generally benefit the humanity.

How much commonality between us is there in the physical/chemical manifestation of what we think? Will AI learning how to interface with us become quicker with more mapping / data points across the population, or is there too much noise for the most part?

On that note, surely we’re in a position today for AI to think a couple of steps ahead of us in most trails of enquiry/thought? The stupidification of humanity?

Now comes the hard part - making sure what comes out is balanced and accurate. If we get to that stage, I believe making connections between information will be easier.
