As if couldn't stoop low enough with his make-believe regulation on salmon farming, it just gets worse. There is basically now, ZERO regulation in the salmon farming growing business. Right at the start of wild smolt migration season šŸ˜”
Scotlandā€™s salmon farmers have welcomed a temporary relaxation of regulations that will allow them to exceed biomass limits if they are forced to delay harvests because of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Just how ā€œessentialā€ is this industrially farmed salmon anyway? The shelves are full because nobody is eating it. Nobody is stockpiling it. Nobody wants it. It has become an albatross around Scotlands neck.

One day this poisonous industry will be seen for what it really is. A throwback to Victorian laissez faire destructive exploitation of nature.

Just read about Marine Scotland's wish to stop salmon stocking in rivers, presumably on 'gebetic purity' grounds. Why is it OK for open-cage salmon stocking then, particularly when number of escapees considered?

What has to happen to effect change ? This ramping up of marine ecocide in our countries inshore waters with First Minister turning a blind eye. If she cannot provide responsible stewardship for our natural heritage then Independence is a non starter. Get a grip.
