I was recently the (unsuccessful) target of a very well-crafted rental phishing scam. Here is my account of the story in excessive detail including screenshots.

I posted an article about network data manipulation on the fly. In the work of security consultant you will need it, especially when dealing with binary protocols.

Random idea but probably worth making a diagram with all Azure components and assigning which cve impacts what components. Does "Azure Cloud" really mean anything after all?

I completely agree. I learn about so many cool features mostly from talking to other reversers and observing their workflows.

NCC Group (@NCCGroupInfosec) are now recruiting for their 2020 graduate scheme starting in July.
I have just finished the scheme in Manchester so if you have any questions regarding that, or the company in general, don't hesitate to DM me 😄

Look at tools like LIEF, they are easy to use because the doc is awesome. Imho if HexRays (or someome else) made some effort to organise an actual documentation of all features, how to use them, and why they are awesome, IDA Pro's best features would be so much more used (n/n)

3. browsing its sources (eg IDA Python), 4. spend time going over all of its menu and try random things yourself, 5. spend time and look at people using it for real or on Youtube. Look at software like Photoshop, even if they are complicated, they have doc and tutorials now (2/n)

Yes. IDA Pro is amazing if you know all of its features I think. The main problem is its documentation. You can only learn it deeply by either 1. looking at all of its changelogs, 2. ida tips from here and there like twitter, friends, hidden in a blog post,... (1/n)

I'm glad to see scientists engaging actively with this issue. If you want to know it's history, here's the short and the long version of my take:

The story about Saudis hacking Jeff Bezos iPhone didn't find evidence, but unknowns, such as a suspicious encrypted video they couldn't decrypt.
So I wrote a blogpost with a detailed explanation how to decrypt it:

Grr.. if anyone knows why macOS stops producing panic logs after about 10 kernel panics + reboots on t2 devices (In ProxiedDevice-Bridge) I would be intrigued to know and if there’s a nvram flag to fix this.

Any tips for dealing with inlined functions in ghidra? E.g., I’d like to say “this group of blocks is definitely its own function. Please treat that as scope for variable names, etc.”
