that it took this long to deprecate QC is a testament to its impact

It could be a lot cheaper to start with an existing alarm clock and hack it. Certainly more of a future proof skill 😉

The best part is all of the conversations we have that are rooted in something practical. That said, she did ask again why we can't just buy an alarm clock. I immediately responded with "This way we can make it look like and do whatever we want!" But it also got me thinking...

This is great!! I'm curious why the closure area doesn't extend to Fell? Also on what the plan is for the closure area?

Used the awesome TimeAlarms library from (along with their Time library) to control how long the startup animation runs. This animation turns on one and only one segment per digit and then bit shifts the segment so that they seem to rotate around at 16ms

Could make an awesome world clock or a clock with 3 sides or a clock where each segment was a 7 segment 4 digit display!

Once I realized that we'd need a real time clock (RTC) I found this excellent tutorial!

Let there be time!!! This time 😉 we're using a smaller display as it's less cumbersome. Next up we'll look at adding an alarm event a minute from startup and then a way to know it's happening. Probably start with just logging to teach small steps 🚶‍♀️

Not a kit and not too complicated, yet 😉 Do you have a soldering iron?
