I get commission for neither. :) But if “road trips” is on the list, I wouldn’t buy the Tesla. :/

Those features are great and used to be novel. Now dozens of cars in this price range and below have those capabilities now. Including this Volvo. :)

The winter part is indeed brutal. More so that the car does a poor job communicating that to the driver.

And the drives that are regular and scheduled are generally not going to stress your range.

The idea that everybody can just set the departure time for every drive they do is nuts.

Just another thing that makes driving more complicated rather than less.

No one should have to be debating “cabin temperature vs enough range to make it home” in 2020.

This is fundamentally the big problem with EV still. Range anxiety is real, cold weather range sucks, and people that don’t think that’s true are blinded by shiny objects. I’ve owned two Tesla’s over 4-5 years now, and I would still not be an EV-only household.

I would say my X has had more issues than I expected. Yellowing screen, busted gull door sensor, gull door arm that needed readjusted twice, pretty noticeable panel gap diff between driver/passenger side.

M3 will be a lot more fun, but XC90 infinitely more flexible and usable.

Ha! Very different options you have there. Pilot assist features on XC90 are very equivalent of first Tesla auto pilot.

So far we really like it. First Volvo for us, lots of safety features, very comfortable. Tiny bit Smaller than the Pathfinder we replaced, which is what we wanted.

What does a mask do? Blocks respiratory droplets coming from your mouth and throat. Two simple demos: First, I sneezed, sang, talked & coughed toward an agar culture plate with or without a mask. Bacteria colonies show where droplets landed. A mask blocks virtually all of them.
