The hacker culture just doesn't work with running.

It isn’t where you are that matters, it’s the direction which you are currently heading that counts.

One simple message for all runners this week: family always comes first.

We spent...(on average): - 5 minutes and 35 seconds on a 10 second race. -For distance events, 2.5 interruptions. For an 8min race, nearly 3 minutes were missed on average -We spend more time watching "down time" than seeing athletes compete.

This weekend, I found myself addressing two runners who, for different reasons, had to prioritize family over running. As I reminded both of them, always remember that family is the top priority in our lives. Any coach worth your time will agree.

It's now been 9 hours since I submitted the support ticket and I haven't even heard "looking at it" from you. What's going on? Something broke all my Cron jobs at a time when I wasn't even on a computer (between 8:30 and 8:45 Central this morning).

I entered support ticket OJR-360-94319 over 7 hours ago. How long should I expect to wait for a response?

Is this really going to make a difference when I was in a stairwell the whole time?

Hey I'm confused. You recognize the nearly 600 foot difference between min and max elevation but you only recorded a 20 foot ascent on my stair climb this morning?

If someone tells you they have the answer, it's very likely they are lying.

Looks like I'm doing a first this weekend. My first stair climb race. Wish me well, this could get interesting. If you would like to sponsor me and support a good cause, see the link below.

I have but very rarely. Recently, I did one treadmill run with music to kill the monotony. In college, I would do track warmups with music to stay centered and not get distracted by all that was going on around me.

Both are true if you leave the music at home. If you never do, you should try it at least occasionally.

It's March! This winter grind feels like it will never end but it will and, when it does, the fact that you worked through the grind will leave you ahead of your competitors who gave in.

Here's a thought: all dues paying members get a subscription as part of their membership. Might increase membership numbers also.
