I'd like to thank for her call to action to organize a conference in her talk, for this fabulous conference name, & for co-organizing this with me!

Rust Belt Rust 2017 was an excellent, friendly, approachable conference, and I would encourage anyone who is interested in to strongly consider it. Good place to give a lightning talk, or even participate in a hands-on beginners' workshop! Hope I can make it this year.

Remember these feelings next year when we are soliciting venues 😇 Find and meet up with other locals (maybe at RBR 2019?) that are also interested!

Sadly not in Cleveland this year but this was my first ever rust event last year and I'll definitely be trying to make it out again this year.

RBR'18 was a great conference. Really friendly, not too big, lots of good conversations with people. +1, would recommend.

What constitutes "the Rust Belt" is one of the most contentious issues of our conference. For a first estimate, check Wikipedia. We are OK with some flexibility around the exact location.

Sure, as long as they are OK with doing legwork in the city! Have them DM us!

Rough sizing: four rooms that can each hold 50 (workshops one day) and one room that can hold 200 (presentations the next).

On the note of "Mountain Rust": I would love for this to happen. For anyone else interested in doing so, I'd be happy to help.

Hey, hey, it’s Friday! Maybe you’re back at work this week, and looking for something interesting to listen to while bored, or while commuting? How about an interview with people who run and the playground and more?

Those were from the second year of RBR and we did indeed clear out the stock this year. Come to the next conference to get this year's left over cups and find out what cool new swag we decide! cc

lots of great stuff happened, probably best year of my life, but one stands out... I was a speaker at a software conference, . It was my first, and it showed me the world outside Africa, not to mention it gave me opportunity to get to see The Lincoln Memorial.
