This Corona thing has really blown the doors off of our society, exposing how non empathetic we are. A pregnant woman isn’t selfish for mourning idea of not being able to hold her newborn if she tests + for COVID. She’s normal in grieving for something she won’t get. 1/

My husband hates Twitter & he’ll be mad about me for writing about him here, but he’s been amazing during this quarantine. Seriously. Best husband ever. If everyone in the world died & it was up to him & me to repopulate the planet, humanity would start with some great genes.

The most amazing thing I’ve seen during this pandemic was a spouse telling the DCSM that he was lying and her husband *had* been recalled for quarantine. A thread.

They need to call him in & keep him on post now because if she doesn’t kill him, he’s going to kill her. Also... thanks for sharing! 🤣

Tomorrow is our youngest’s birthday so tonight husband & I went to Walmart to buy party stuff. We walked in together, holding hands and singing this song.

She just looks at us like, “whaaaa? I thought we were in this together?!” And then looks really hurt and offended.

That weirdo with the mullet & the underbite who always wants to chat with me about random video games I’ve never heard of is saving my life right now and when this is all over I’m going to give him the biggest hug.

Because if they appear to be biased against him, people inclined to believe him will be even less inclined to believe them. Ethics certainly don’t prevent them from calling it out, but they have to walk a fine line in order to preserve access & objectivity.

I had already stopped doing regular journalism in 2016 but D.T.’s anti media rhetoric was a “put me in, coach” moment. Journalists covering this Administration cannot speak out against the things he says— but I can. This man is a threat to freedom. He is lying to the people.

Dude ... stop. There is no media governing body but there is accountability in every real newsroom.

Anonymous sources are not anonymous to the newsroom chain of command & their info has to be confirmed by other sources before it gets published. It amazes me that so many Americans are willing to believe the claims of one man over an entire profession.
