“Fluid Service”: so much easier. Groove was a dapp, built on a transform system designed for distributed consensus. Each transaction on the ledger was signed; distributed trust. Such overkill. Fluid arch is interesting. I wonder how well it handles “long offline” endpoints.

Never forget: VisiCalc, 1-2-3, Excel introduced everyone to functional programming. Notes users used to build fields, forms, views, and collab apps. Access enabled countless SMBs. The PC empowered & freed us from The Man’s control of SaaS.

Our amazing little Notecard acts as an I2C peripheral. I2C terminology has long bothered me, and I tried getting it changed top-down. Radio silence. Several weeks ago I decided to take matters into my own hands. Apparently a “silly” thing to do.

The Dropkick Murphy's became the first band in history tonight to play on the baseball diamond at Fenway Park, a live stream concert with no live audience & all while raising money for first responders, healthcare workers & communities hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. ♥️

So pleased to see this research. Blind trust of dependencies is frightfully rampant. We need an annual IOCCC-like contest awarding creative placement of harmless Easter eggs in major OSS repos, to increase vuln awareness among young devs.

To be clear: I am elated that this forcing function will cause industry, academics, activists, and governments to sit down and work through some tough issues. But there should be no doubt that A+G are now building EA infrastructure, even if you don’t yet see a maintenance port.

It seems as though someone well-intentioned in govt may conclude “This isn’t going to work unless *we* know where everyone is and who they came into contact with. We need legally-authorized EA to that data, even if consumers only choose to selectively share among one another.”

Math by suggests that ultimately legislation will force collection to be “always on”, with access being controlled. If you blur your eyes, location secrets protected by daily tracing keys smells (CLEARly badly) like the publishing of and EA to encrypted master secrets.

Proud, and continuously impressed by the immense work that the team and its leaders did to realize the potential of Azure as one of the two (O365) anchors for the company’s services transformation. Congrats et al

It’s wonderful to see innovators find joy in ‘note’ as the core data model, and also to discover the joys of sync. (You’ll soon see that I’m still learning and leveraging the abstraction in a completely different domain.)
