Something of an amazing turducken and your head may explode: *Video* of TiVo natively running on top of Android TV while retaining access to the Play Store (apps!) and a remote featuring the Google Assistant.

I've been following the corporate development of this business side for months. In a world where I have unlimited free time, I plan to run a feature on this. I've watched so many YT videos of the Tivo for Biz folks do presentations about how this is going to work.

Speaking of which, to answer your question towards the end of the article, beyond cost savings the big selling point of doing Android TV w Tivo on top over traditional STB is time-to-market. Google & Tivo have made turnaround insanely fast

They can also share in some app revenue with Google as users on their Android TV Operator Tier devices spend money on the Play Store. Not the same as getting PPV $$$, but better than losing it all to input switchers who spend app money on a Roku.

Well now you've got a video for your story. Help me get some views so Google (ahem) re-monetizes my YouTube Channel and shares some revenue with ME. ;)
