I'm staying away from WWDC predictions this year because there are so many potentially huge things on the 1–2 year horizon that I'm ready to be surprised. Talk of ARM Macs, iOS apps on macOS, new UI frameworks, new UI revamps, AR glasses and more; where there's smoke, etc…

A lot of anecdotal tidbits over the past year seem to point to a massive cleaning-out of macOS' 32-bit & legacy code — wouldn't surprise me if most of macOS effort this year went into gutting it (I guess, preparing for what happens next? Be it iOS apps, ARM, etc)

Dropping all the 32bit support is going be a nightmare, so many things will break, especially given how many apps have gone into semi permanent maintenance mode in recent years. If Apple wants to shore up macOS this would be the worst way of doing it.
