Dear Mr. WalrusChunk, Your business is very important to us. So important that, Tyler, our ace claims adjuster with 3 weeks of experience will be contacting you to pretend to listen to your claim—while we make up excuses to deny it. More soon!

Loved re-reading this! My lasting image of Brimley (Brimlage, if you will) is a bit less sweet—when a famous Scientologist kicks him unconscious in a Memphis basement;)

Such a class act & all-around talent—who always finds time to help others. Songbae introduced me to a friend over email, and started a fascinating conversation. For me, Songbae embodies what impact investing is all about. Truly. Best of luck, !

Goldman’s GC, who prosecuted Martha Stewart & sent her to prison for insider trading, must have a great take on right now. Does the jungle have actual laws, or just unfortunate targets for arbitrary application?

So, the market doesn’t think a non-TE launch for PF708 will go well for ...Forteo’s slide and Lilly’s comments suggest otherwise. I’ve been adding on the recent drop & feel better about doing so after Lilly’s Q.

One suspects that any deal he cuts with Washington will involve still more “revelations” about his former comrades, paying to settle litigation galore (Harvest being just 1), and his crimes paving an absurd path to Miraflores. Crazy—but it’s how the world “works” and it’s 2020.

In my younger days, I used to short momo / fomo favorites. RIMM being the most painful / difficult to size & manage. It turned out ok in the end, but yeah, it takes a special kind of mental toughness to do what Chanos does. It ages people like nothing else

Not his finest performances, for sure;) To be fair, George Lucas spent more time with Jar Jar than working with actors, though... If you’ve seen Life as a House or Shattered Glass, he redeems himself;)

So, my Anakin comment was more about how incorruptible he is (so, yeah, I picked a bad Star Wars metaphor, Sam;)

Ha...no, I think Chanos is one of the few guys in a tough job who stands by his analysis / work—without resorting to the things that give shorts a bad rap (distortion, innuendo, sensationalism). He’s an exceptionally bright man—and has earned his success.

If investors keep dumping , perhaps a SPAC just might take a poke at a company with growth, a valuable platform...and shareholders with precious little to show for it.
