. is doing essential reporting on how tech is changing labor, and her latest is about Ziosk — those tablets that diners use to rate their servers. “I’m like, ‘Where the hell are my shifts? They were like, ‘Oh, well, you had a bad score.’”

Looks the same! Works like any other view—automatic if you build with the new SDK, or you can set the appearance property on the view to override it.

I use Nomorobo which at least blocks some of them and identifies most others. I’ve looked at RoboKiller but I don’t love the idea of forwarding all my calls through a third party service just for this.

Like many others have said I’m still frustrated by spam calls. The solution I’d like the most is to only allow calls from people in my contacts. Other calls could either go direct to voice mail or appear as normal notifications so they’re less disruptive.

Somehow I always forget about KVO. I'll try that, thank you.

Anyone have suggestions for handling dark mode changes when viewDidChangeEffectiveAppearance is not available? Here are some relevant screenshots it wouldn't let me include

I always thought this icon was weird on iOS but I honestly kinda love Apple's Mac version? It looks like some weird plastic doodad and I want one.

The year is 1979. Your aunt and uncle have dropped you off at the Mos Eisley Mallport. All you want is to spend your allowance on the 12" of Power Converters.

That doesn’t seem to be accurate actually, at least in the first beta. The whole pop up is a lighter grey, and there are subtle highlights and shadows.

Supporting macOS Mojave’s dark mode is a lot easier if you’re not a smart person who thought, oh I won’t use the system colors, I’ll use this slightly different shade because I know best 👨🏻‍🎨🎨

Yeah, I haven't had any issues going from dev to shipping builds this way. Only other thing that comes to mind is if a new beta has already been downloaded, you'll need to separately delete that too (in the manage storage section).
