I just finished “the last agent”, in two days time. Which means I’ve officially read every book by and now I don’t know what to do with myself.

I could not stop reading The Trapped Girl this evening. Now, here I am after 2am trying to decide whether I should start book 5 in the series. I am not going to spoil the ending for others, but what an ending! Also, I am glad Rex/Sherlock behaved at the end 😊. Amazing series!

2/ I can choose from one of eight books, but I usually choose two because I want to see what authors are writing. So what’s your favorite part of the bookstore?

1/ My favorite section of the bookstore is the new arrivals table. I love to know what established authors have recently written, and I love to find new authors with those amazing first books. Amazon has a similar program each month, Amazon Reads.

2/ Sloane, like Tracy Crosswhite, is fearless. I knew lawyers like him, and they were scary good. I loved writing those scenes. A guy can dream, can’t he?

1/ People keep asking when David Sloane is coming back. I loved bringing him back in The Eighth Sister, but it gets really complicated with contracts, film etcetera. I’ll say this. The guy is truly gifted in a courtroom, much more so than I ever was.

My wife and I rescued a little dog and he’s slowly making himself at home. Maddie , however, is still trying to figure him out.

3/ But he also never compromises. What’s right is right. And what isn’t right, he’ll make it right.

2/ Whether he’s scuba diving to a ship not there, riding a snowmobile through a passage that is closing, or in a bush plane about to crash, he’s scared. He has a lot to lose – a wife, two kids. He never loses site of this.

1/ I truly love writing about Charles Jenkins. He’s physically gifted and smart, but he’s also relatable and I think this is what endears him to readers.
