Always beware the first question. It’s almost invariably a guy who came with his question already in mind and didn’t hear a thing you said...or read.

May I point out something to those of you who want to retire? Not one of you knows what role the Speaker plays in the House. Because if you did, you'd realize that demanding "fresh faces" on the war torn battle field just gets newbies slaughtered and fucks Dems

Beverly Fishman’s show at Ameringer on W21 isn’t original but it’s not just derivative. It combines shiny and matte, bright and dark, roundish and square-ish in perfect balance/scale. It’s e. minimalist + LA finish fetish. Small-time invention. But big-time, loving homage.

"At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher." -- Abraham Lincoln, Jan. 27, 1838

Donald Trump is going to continue with his rally tonight. The networks are under no obligation to carry it, and its messages of incitement and division, live. Show some spine.

Exceptionally beautiful, “painted” painting from 1993 by the polemical painter Michael Krebber in “Hell” (or Holle in German), a group show at Buchholz, UES, through tomorrow, Oct 27.
