I tweet about physics, but I can't avoid today's headlines: the neo-fascist, Steve Bannon, advises our future PM, and domestic violence is apparently not an issue that should concern us or get in the way of said future PM's ambitions. What the hell is wrong with people?

And you let “things that are a premium” slide? With you on the transitive and intransitive though.

Ah right so “I don’t hear a single voice” = “I don’t listen to single voices”. Gotcha.

You just asked for a single voice then set the bar impossibly high there.

“One of the shortest”?! That’s some claim, but I think you may be right.

Having work done planned months back. “Oh yeah, disconnect the radiators in June as we won’t need them then!” Bah.

My kids go to a catholic primary but it isn’t too evangelistic. My only real concern is the sheer amount of time wasted on RE each week. Luckily my two have learnt the Lee & parables sketches off by heart and so can say “aaah” to the priest.

This is a bit like that lovely point most recently made by (I think) about Farage: sod it, put them in charge so we can see how useless they are for real. The only way through this mess is by crashing through to the other side. [heads off to build prepper bunker]

Though I think, like a dalliance with a ukulele at uni (“I never actually twanged...”), admission of kazooing in a misspent youth may never be truly forgiven by the electorate.

Agreed. I suspect the true horror of the man is that he behaves and thinks that way without the defence he is on drugs.

Not bothered about the Queen meeting him if he’s already here - it is only polite - but she of course didn’t invite him. Your outgoing leader did that out of some strange sycophancy.

I think the quotation would have been improved if there had been a comma after “or feel they are doing it” which gives it the intended - and only sensible - meaning. To read it as “most people do it” is wilfully wrong

In your haste taking a handful of words out of the middle of a sentence changed its meaning there. I’d recommend you reread it but it absolutely does not say “most people shoot crows”. I thought it a measured article - esp from shooting side so worth the time
