Am I the only one who feels like this is a year where several jocks think they can make the lead and steal this race and we end up with a pace meltdown?

Even if the refresh happens (which is a big if) it’s not going to contribute a huge amount of added volume relative to 3. Model Y is not going to be at volume before end of 2020 per Tesla.

Ok so let’s say they can get to 3k/week and maintain that in Q1 in China, that’s 40k cars. Still implies 130-170k cars or more in what is, per Elon, a very seasonally weak Q1. Not commenting on likelihood but curious why he sees that happening

I’m just asking a question! The guidance has been all over the place. My understanding is if everything goes well Tesla hopes to be at 3k/week in China going into 2020 so that would seem to imply a fairly significant ramp in Q1

I understand that, that is why I have a ~. I think it’s somewhat fair to assume that barring a huge in transit number on Dec 31 production and delivery numbers will be reasonably close

Just want to confirm, you guided ~290k-330k production for the remainder of 2019 two weeks ago. Now you see over 500k for the next 12 months, which implies at least 170k production in Q1 2020. Is this accurate?

A lot of people tweeting/writing about the high number of cars in transit, but at 10,600 it was roughly in line with Tesla’s guidance of ~10k

Funny that this photo popped up on Facebook as a memory for me from 10 years ago today- this is Justwhistledixie in the paddock en route to winning the Bonnie Miss. She went on to produce New Year’s Day, sire of Florida Derby winner Maximum Security!

I ran against her that day. My daughter screamed at the top her of lungs for Newspaper even thought she was beating my horse by ~1000 lengths. Really nice moment for us

She could use one more growth spurt but she’s nice! I named a filly after Montana Skeptic and me and you in a potato sack could have beaten her in a race so I need some redemption!

What about energy generation going from ~1.5 Billion in 2018 to ~40 Billion in 2021? I really can’t think of many businesses that have scaled to that level, that quickly
