I wonder how John Bolton is feeling this morning. It's been less than three months since he announced the US would not leave Syria unless and until Iran did.

People criticize me for all sorts of stuff, much of which is fair. The funniest accusation, though, is when people accuse me of being an undercover Muslim because of my public stance against Islamophobia. I guess I should take it as a compliment?

According to GTD/GTI, far-right terrorists killed 17 people _in the whole world_ in 2017. Nearly all were in US. Talk about jihadism as hyped and far right as the «real» threat is true for the United States only

Sir Harold Evans: "What's been forgotten, is how the war started - it started because of Nationalism." Probably the most profound and insightful comment you will hear today.

Hasan Minhaj, on the hate Sikhs endure: Why don't you just go “Hey, I'm not Muslim.” Me: It's just not an option for us to throw another community under the bus. Even if it means things are harder for us, we believe it's the right thing to do.

Excellent article on the legacy of Angela Merkel by ⁦⁩. When progressive reform is stalled, then the hard right comes out fo the woodwork. Or as Harold Wilson said: you’ve got to keep peddling or the bike topples over.

I was in Yemen this time last month. The war strategy of the Saudi-led coalition is not winning & the human suffering is unconscionable. It is no excuse for UK to say it has no role and no influence. It does. And it is meant to be in the lead at the UN Security Council on Yemen.
