Black people really don't discuss suicide in our community. I'm ready to help lead these convos, using my personal experiences.

People speak about mental health as if faith can't be critical in our healing process. For me, my belief in God has been everything.

Not only do I believe in seeing my therapist and my psychiatrist and taking my meds; I believe in prayer and going to church each Sunday.

My use of medication sustains my mental health, but my faith in God has delivered me from suicide. I really believe this with all my heart.

Many feel the church and mental health can't work together. I am living proof that this is not the case. I am a Christian and I take meds.

We know white American conservatives are irrational, but Sanders candidacy seems to bring out that same incoherence in white 'progressives'

Faith is so important in my mental health journey that missing church is like missing a session with my psychiatrist or skipping my meds.

The reason why church is so important to me while I deal with depreession is that I have a community who reinforces how wonderful I am.

You're faith community does not need to be the church. It can be whatever since of community makes you feel good about yourself.
