Thanks! It’s a sensitive topic so I’m expecting haters on this one. Glad the first comment is positive, cheers.

Oh, and I posted this along with the podcast: It's the guide the Oz government prepared for its law enforcement and intelligence agencies on how to use the provisions in the Assistance and Access Act and it makes for pretty interesting reading.

I was surprised by how willing Baker was to admit that any type of law enforcement access/assistance would introduce privacy and security risks, tbh.

Just posted a feature interview about encryption and law enforcement with Jim Baker, former FBI general counsel. Really gets going about 20 minutes in. tl;dr this is hard, there are no perfect solutions, and law enforcement assistance will carry risks.

I got the flu jab for the first time in my life this season. Kiddo has had round 1 already and she’ll get the second shot when we’re back from our holiday. It’s out of control rn.

But as others have pointed out, those guests aren’t elected representatives who can actually make laws. Main takeaway for me, a non-American? The USA is super polarised right now.

If you all knew what the politics of some Risky Business guests are you’d all have a great big collective aneurism.

The 6.9 here is being stripped. Engine is out etc. If you want parts or even a whole engine now is the time.
