It’s almost like we need new laws to allow scary agencies to tackle this sort of thing?

It was pretty obvious this was the case (we said as much in the show yesterday) but it’s nice to see a solid report on it.

They overhyped a source’s claims had failed to provide context??? The Times never does that! So weird!!!

I don't know enough about the history of congressional hearings, but it's painfully obvious to anyone who watches the tech ones that most who participate are only interested in generating an isolated clip of themselves getting an own in. Just do a tiktok, man. Save us the time.

This commentary from ⁦⁩ about the defacement of Trump’s website had me smiling this morning. Yes, we _do_ like innovation.

Like I said yesterday, website defacements are noise. Don’t fall for these attempts designed to distract, sensationalize, and confuse. Ultimately they’re trying to undermine your confidence in our voting process.

Thanks for that... and yeah, I think it's still notable they're using "interstate commerce" as a way to literally make a federal case out of these things. What's wrong with state charges? That would seem more appropriate in this case?

I see what you’re getting at though. Do you have any insight into the other charge they mention wrt the car being manufactured in Canada?

This week's show will feature comment from and ... I'm very thankful to both of them for finding the time to talk to us. Katie will share her thoughts on recent USG APT releases and Chris tells us what's on his mind a week out from the US election.
