Have crossed transatlantic on QM2 & say that even in the middle of summer the waves can be large & cause a large ocean liner to move + she’s stabilisers & designed for it. Seriously the Atlantic isn’t easy to cross. Why didn’t she think why did it take us nearly 1400yrs to do it

It also prevents other nation states from forcing us to accept a less than ideal situation for ourselves in return and that all decisions between states are mutually and fully entered into, instead of being required for the benefit of someone else.

Because due to cultural histories the different peoples of the world have different viewpoints, priorities and needs. The nation state allows us to find a way that is best for us without forcing others to accept our systems and values.
