I'm laughing, but not entirely sure why.
Why is the article written like that? What an I missing out on?

'Lookism' and 'pretty privilege' are both terms I've heard used in conversations.

How do we know that? The correlation, I mean. Any papers, articles you might recommend?

That isn't true. High infant mortality rate fucks up the median age.
People were less likely to survive infanthood than today, but if they did survive it they would live to their 70s and 80s.

That's brilliant. Was that a Hitchcock movie?

Yup. Her son, WHO IS SEVEN YEARS OLD, really liked Frozen, so she's gonna have him injected with hormones and turn him into a girl.

I wanted to take this seriously and listen to what she had to say, but she sounds too much like Steve Carrel. I'm sorry.

Seems to me this is only a problem when it comes to cinema. Nobody complains about another adaptation of Hamlet. How many actors have played him over the past 4 centuries?
There are some characters that we just don't want to let go of, so they keep coming back.

I literally gasped in horror and disgust. What is the matter with people? Why? Why on Earth would one do such a thing?

Where does that come from? I suppose it's understandable why one would want that to be true, but with all the evidence...

I don't know if toxic is the right word.
It seems to me what the movie demonstrates is the fact that the terms of any intimate relationship are idiosyncratic and almost never easily understood by anyone on the outside.

So... in this context, "basically" means "not correct but makes for a good joke"?
I don't mean to offend or pick a fight. I only replied because it annoys me when a lie is widely regarded as truth. Especially when it doesn't take much time or effort to learn the truth.
