The dataset is becoming especially unwieldy after growing the number of websites per crawl by 10x. I wrote this design doc proposing a reorg of the dataset to utilize BQ features like partitioning and clustering which make the queries more economical

Based on the Web Almanac, 40% of origins meet a fast First Input Delay and 13% a fast First Contentful Paint. It's definitely possible to build a fast site, but does involve some effort. We're working on a few ideas to make it easier! /cc
