Words & graphics. Creator of . "This guy, who apparently saw the future" - Edward Snowden. I've been accused of polluting 'real' history.

I've not tweeted him for a while. He deserves to be a meme. I love him.

As the author of , this is precisely the kind of word-of-mouth interaction I want to see.

I found him through Gary Peacock Trio ECM stuff (though he has own trio and 4tet, which are very accomplished). They often work together. Just randomly, here's some of their duo work:

With a bit of luck, next month I'll be seeing, in my opinion, one of the best living jazz pianists: Marc Copland

I notice that the same people who say Bercow should be removed for being "unacceptably politicised" & not being impartial are the same ones who appear to be ok with the Gov breaking the law, being in contempt of parliament, & casually threatening to break future laws. Funny that

John Bercow has dropped a big fat mic, which appears to have ricocheted from the floor and lodged itself in Johnson's fundament.

Case in point. 1970s continuity graphics. The animated diamond takes 7 mins to complete this simple sequence. 7 actual minutes!

5+ years of (free) posts. And yet a complaint about promoting the book - currently my only source of income - a mere 4 days after publication.

Our 197X Annual arrived yesterday and it's as twisted, visionary and darkly hilarious as you'd expect from . An artefact of dreadful beauty and quite possibly a warning from (alternate) history.

Watching a batch of continuity clips. TV was much quieter/calmer back in the day. Continuity voice-overs were softer spoken; they weren't afraid to leave moments of silence; there weren't so many cuts; no over-the-top graphics; no increased booming volume for ads. Almost soothing

1970s TV continuity. Is this the name of the upcoming programme? Or is it just informing less intelligent viewers what they're doing?

Another day waiting for a DHL pickup following confusion over labels, invoices & customs declaration forms. This started last Wednesday. I could have just stuck it in normal post and it'd be there by now. The days you lose to waiting at home for people to turn up.

1978: Ceefax Is Here went behind the scenes of everybody's favourite teletext information service. BBC Archive loves the naturalistic conversations captured in this piece.

Trying to come up with a suitable theme for a party? The Annual has plenty of ideas*. *Only follow these if you want your party to be a horrifying dystopian wilderness, full of remorse.
