Funding Fast Forward could mean that Red Hook public housing residents can access: ✔️Adequate bus service serving one of the largest developments ✔️Safer commutes in & out of a community cut off by the BQE & Hamilton Ave ✔️Reliable subway service to school & work

Today we’re in Albany fighting to . Red Hook lacks a subway stop. The closest stop is 20 minutes away for residents. It is the highest point in the entire system & lacks an elevator. The price of a full fare is prohibitively expensive. 🙏🏾

It's been over 6 years since Hurricane Sandy but in many ways NYC's public housing is no more prepared for climate catastrophe than it was then. I reported for on what's left to be done + how communities are preparing themselves in the meantime

. visited us 6 years after Hurricane Sandy. While Red Hook public housing residents live with mold & temporary boilers, our Local Leaders have trained over 250 of their neighbors in preparedness and organizing. 🙌🏾
