This is not what should be happening in America. We’re better than this and our immigration policies should reflect our morals.

She finally was told they were in NY. She could only speak with them twice a week. When they were finally reunited, her daughter had lice and burns on her hands.

and I heard from Maria at a forum in Southern California. Maria had her children taken away by immigration officials and for one month, she was not told where they were. She cried more than she ever had for a month.

I asked how citizenship Q was added to the census, and he claimed DOJ initiated the request. Now we know he was not telling the truth. If you can't be honest with the American people about why you want a change, then you should not make it.

Despite our capacity to help, Trump is capping 2019 refugee admissions at 30,000 -- 15,000 fewer than last year, and 55,000 fewer than in 2016. This new refugee cap is heartless and cruel. We shouldn't be turning people away who need help the most.

He has also bragged about grabbing and kissing women. Trump has a clear history of excusing sexual assault and treating women as objects. Now it's time for the women to be heard. Sexual assault is not normal, it's not okay, and won't be covered up anymore.

Christine Blasey Ford has displayed incredible courage. She deserves to be heard, as do all victims. The Senate should not move forward with a vote on Kavanaugh until that happens.

Trickle down does not work. Thanks to the skewed , corporations are getting richer, but not sharing the profit. Just 4.4% of Fortune 500 workers got a raise or bonus. Now, Republicans are trying to make this inequality permanent as we markup today.

When trying to think about just how many craftspeople it takes to make movies and TV, remember that has an entire department for making drapes. Thank you Deborah Riley, the show’s production designer, for helping to highlight these good paying jobs worth protecting

Each color is a different director. Each column a different team. 500 different directing teams were involved in bringing ’s Westeros to life. That’s a lot of good jobs for artists and technicians in the arts and why I’m proud to support creators

Methane’s greenhouse effect is 25 times stronger than that of carbon dioxide. This administration is once again choosing polluters over our planet and public health.
