I’m 2010? The deep blue match was almost 15 years old at that point and widely known to be significant, no one would have been very surprised that other games would be explored too.

If the wealth is channeled through that tunnel, I wonder if we will see an even steeper rise in inequality. Millennial share will increase but will go to those that hold capital and not through inheritance

This is basically what people were writing about in “game” blogs 10 years ago. Be careful.

This might be good news. She has a knack for jumping on to the political trend that’s just about to peak and wash over. Let’s hope this contrarian indicator remains robust.

Wait so are we having a balance sheet recession or are balance sheets exploding?

Imagine if they had received a bigger slice and then that was made smaller and parts were given to other people, wouldn’t they feel angry even if the resulting piece was bigger than before? (2/2)

But aren’t they right to feel that, even if their consumption has increased, it could have increased *much more* but for inequality? It’s not false to feel angry that you’re not sharing appropriately in a bigger pie even if your piece is bigger than before (1/2)

Giving the $5.9 mm back is a joke. If someone steals from you, you shouldn’t invest in them if they give you the money back when caught!

Lol his “I feel very sorry about this” and his “offer to help” after demanding someone resign reminds me of “He will receive the death penalty. I am pro-life and take no pleasure in reporting this.“ it’s the fake remorse that’s the clear signal.

Pretty simple - they associate veggie substitutes as feminine. Lots of weird idiosyncratic stuff about the culture comes down to something no more deep than “they think it’s masculine if they do or don’t do it.”

The way to square this circle to realize that low rates are indicating *liquidity* problems. Those liquidity problems will constrain economic activity and you will see it show up int the data later.

Maybe the line will “but they’re citizens!” Guess what - if the state doesn’t says you’re not a citizen, you’re not a citizen. So why not redefine it to do whatever we want to whomever we want? The inadequacies of her thought are so obvious. She’s just high on being “contrarian”.

Or why we couldn’t restrict births based on parental income, education, and an evaluation of morals. Where’s the principle? Where is the line? As you say, if you don’t believe in the equal moral dignity of human beings, there is no line.

Hilarious that a lawyer doesn’t spend much time discussing not just the rule, but who gets to enforce it. Why couldn’t we use it to prevent people from gaining political offices from cultures with endemic corruption, like NY real estate?

You don’t dwell on this, but who is this “we” she refers to? Why does she get to decide who another person rents to, or hires, or educates? Amazing these “conservatives” just assume there should be such strong collectivist restrictions. Lots of cultural distance from America...
