And the decision in the Cade is out! ICJ has ruled in favour of India on merits, affirming Jadhav’s right to consular access and notification The Court has directed Pakistan to provide effective review and reconsideration of his conviction and sentences

The Court has also said that Jadhav’s death sentence should remain suspended until Pakistan effectively reviews and reconsiders the conviction/sentence in light of Pakistan’s breach of Art 36(1) i.e. denial of consular access and notification

The Court has, however, rejected most of the remedies sought by India, including annulment of military court decision convicting Jadhav, his release and safe passage to India

This verdict was predicted. Ultimately Pakistan is the winner and Jahdav will remain in Pakistani custody; his dead sentence is not overturned (merely suspended so it can be reviewed) so not sure how the Indians are claiming victory?

How is it in favour of India? India asked for 'immediate & safe release' of Yadhave.

Please read the submissions of both sides. On substantive legal issue of consular access, ICJ has ruled in India’s favour by categorically stating espionage allegations aren’t an exception to VCCR. On remedies, as I’ve pointed, most remedies sought by India have been rejected

❌ Acquittal denied ❌ Release denied ❌ Repatriation denied Why is claiming victory?

Let’s review India’s demands: Acquittal: denied Repatriation: denied Release: denied Direct transfer to a Civilian Court: denied Totally in favour of India na?

Wow! I’ve been condemning gulf news and khaleej times for biased reporting and here comes the “so called” Pakistani lady full of grudge and hatred towards the country she’s living, breathing and earning in.

ICJ verdict isn’t a failure for Pakistan. India wanted Jadhav to be released. Rejected by court. India wanted a civil trial. Rejected by court. Consular access & review of judgement is fine. Enough here for both sides to claim victory with 🇵🇰 slightly ahead

So all these favors , opening trade route from India to Afghanistan, opening airspace, arresting hafiz Saeed were for nothing?

Those moves were for distraction, had the result been any different.
