My daughter loves Frozen but it stresses me out so much as a parent. Both young women weren’t taught and spoken to with honesty and respect by their parents. One girl is locked up with anxiety and fear, and one is abandoned and disillusioned. Makes me so sad. ❄️

I have lots of fun things planned during the week for my preschooler and I because she is stuck at home with mama. But sometimes, my first grader feels left out because he is at school. I try to make it fair for everybody but I feel like I am failing miserably.

My daughter got a hibiscus flower off of one of our bushes. She loves it and carries it everywhere, calling it her “Flower of Doom.” Ah, my sweet little girl. 🌺

Parenting forces you to be selfless even when you don’t want to be. Parenting makes you see another person’s perspective even if you’d rather not. Parenting challenges you to love someone more than you love yourself, more than you love anything. It’s painful and amazing.

What goals or plans do you have for your family this month? We have so much to do but it’s all fun stuff! Also being more aware of our budget, and getting outside much more as it starts to cool down. 🍁

Here’s where we are at with our 4yo: Trying to teach her that we are always here for her and will never shut her out, but also respecting our privacy. 😳
