Completely agree. I imagine many CHROs won’t know about it and many CIOs won’t understand its implications. As I said to a client last week who was enthusing about Facebook like tactics to drive employee behaviour: just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

I’m thinking of the research into women v men putting themselves forward for jobs, staying their achievements, rating their own ability etc. Not imposter syndrome specific (and not that this is an actual defined syndrome) Be great to see the research you refer to as well.

Agree Tony. I’ve worked with some very senior male coachees who experience this. I understand why the generalisation - research typically concludes that women underplay their achievements and don’t ‘sell’ themselves vs men. But imposter syndrome is more complex than that.
