The snow is falling. Parliament Hill is aglow in lights. The crowd just helped sing O Canada. Sens stars from yesteryear are laying some shinny. If you told me this was hockey heaven, I would buy what you were selling

Jason Zucker just delivered coffee and donuts to the 2nd precinct at MPLS PD. My favorite moment came when one of the officers asked, “What’s up with the empty netter you missed last night?” Zucker: “I love this. That’s great.” 😂

Was just searching for inflatable snow tubes for Christmas gift. Typed in "Inflatable" on Google and first option was "Inflatable Irish Pub". It's really a thing (and there's more than one kind):

"We get back to our roots here. For me, I grew up in a cold climate like Ottawa, and skating outside was one of my favorite things I did. So getting a chance to do that on this stage is going to be so cool." via

On most days, I really enjoy interacting with fans on social media. While today wasn’t one of those days, I do appreciate those who are kind and respectful. Thank you. 👍🏼

Programming note: Will not be in St. Louis or Washington. Heading straight to NYC where I will hunker down for a while. Covering Kings at NYR and NYI this weekend, then be back with Ducks on Sunday in New Jersey for final four games of trip.

As Graham Parker once sang, Don't let it break you down. If he was rewriting those lyrics now, he'd sing: Don't let the trolls break you down. also has terrific advice (see below)

Talked w/Gaborik and Stevens last week. Here's a Doughty quote there was no room for. I asked Drew if he could comprehend 1,000 games. DD: "I better play that many. If I don’t play that many games, it’s bad on my behalf."
