Sorry. Is this to me? If so, where did I state that he ever deserved it?

Note: I always put “conspiracy theorist” in quotes because none of those clowns look remotely like this.

Why did I already know you were going to say that? I've followed snopes since 1997. That's pre-twitter days. I'll take them over "random truck driver on the Internet" any day.. However.. I'm willing to play... please cite your credible sources.... I'll start...

From this distance , Australia , it always appeared that this was an ‘encouragement award’ . Not traditionally the way for Nobel .

Looking back giving Obama the award was a fail - but the sentiment made sense to me at the time

That's as close as I could find to backing up claims.... Two non-voting members @ Nobel. Two is also not a majority That's zero out of the five people in the Norwegian committee.

I liked Obama okay and I would certainly agree with you. I was never quite clear why he got it in the first place. I believe the secretary to the Nobel committee expressed the same thing later you stated. An "encouragement award" and not for what he really had done.

Sorry, correction. Both articles are about the Nobel Directory (non-voting member) Geir Lundestad, Still 0 out of 5. Just so the goal post doesn't get moved, the claim is: "Even the voting committee regrets that.". Citations please.

I remember questioning it at the time. He hadn't been president for two long and was a senator before that. It just seemed more symbolic that based of performance.
