Donald J. Trump
...does not include the Fake Washington Post, which is used as a “lobbyist” and should so REGISTER. If the P.O. “increased its parcel rates, Amazon’s shipping costs would rise by $2.6 Billion.” This Post Office scam must stop. Amazon must pay real costs (and taxes) now!

Look at the bright side: You don’t have to worry about Amazon, kneeling players, The NY Times, Meryl Streep, Stormy Daniels, your son, Russia or anything when you’re in jail!

Why are we not utilizing the Sherman Antitrust Act? 26 Stat. 209. Honestly, why do these companies like Alphabet & Amazon get a pass? We broke up Standard Oil but now the law does not apply?

I dare you to try and hurt Amazon with some sort of new tax or something. I guarantee you they would sue and win. You just proved to America that you are attacking them because you dislike the founder's other business, The Washington Post

It seems like companies that talk about how good you are will be given advantages by the government, while companies that talk about how bad you are will be punished. This is extremely dangerous and anti-American.

He as president has every right to complain about a company that pays nearly zero in tax as well as the as the USPS.....also taxpayer funded.

Can we agree should be accurate with his claims? And that the company creates billions in sales taxes, capital gains taxes, and taxes related to the wages it pays over 500,000 people?

Amazon gets out of paying billions in sales tax because their sales are internet based. That’s a fact. And the PO does lose on every package delivered...also a fact. So, tell me what part of what trump is saying is wrong?

They pay sales taxes on every sale they make. Their platform enables small businesses to make sales as well, and those taxes are collected by buyers in states where those businesses have a physical presence (Nexus). They do that as well.

Further, they collect taxes on all sales by individuals in states that have marketplace collection requirements, like Washington State. By your argument (and ’s), Shopify, Ebay, and others are much closer targets to his argument.

Further, the claims by on USPS are not valid nor substantiated. USPS has two growing businesses—package delivery and commercial mail. Their financial issues are pensions and precipitous declines in first class mail. He’s just wrong. Again.

Wa Po....yes. The paper that has lied and spun almost daily about trump since the day he announced his candidacy? That one? And yes, they should have to register as a lobbyist. You are telling me they aren’t trying to sway policy? Yet everyone thinks Bezos is a saint.

That’s just not true either. It isn’t how any of this actually works. Is Fox News a lobby by the same definition? Not even I would argue that. They probably shouldn’t be called “news,” but they still aren’t a lobby.

No one is claiming Amazon is better than all the others, but how does this justify Presidential outrage at only one of such businesses? The comment about them allowing small businesses to use their platform is a fact though.
