I live in a conservative state - we all have guns. Teachers are meant to teach - not be charged with the responsibility of taking lives.

1) It's pistols vs frigging rifles/body armor - not an even contest. Shooters also have more ammo - can rapidly shoot through walls/doors. 2) The shooters are psychos; normal people, even well trained ones, often hesitate or shoot inaccurately.

I know what you may say: slippery slope, but It's not. School shootings, for reasons given, would still succeed. So, if you insist on the value of guns in school, there's only two possible next steps: equalizing/superior firepower... or just accepting occasional kid murders.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't someone get into an army base in America and kill 13 people, with thousands of armed, highly skilled and trained soldiers on the base. So tell me again what exactly is 1or 2 armed teachers going to do against an Ar 15..........
