After a steady refreeze, for November is *2nd lowest* in the time series (very close to 2012). Year 2019 continues the long-term trend of decline. Year 2016 holds -by far- the biggest anomaly for this month.

Havisforsker : Udbredelsen af havis i oktober er rekordlav. Usædvanlig varme flere steder i Arktis gør, at havisen kun langsomt bygges op i Arktis. Også i april og juli var udbredelsen af havis rekordlav og minimum-udbredelsen endte i september på en delt 2. plads.

The freeze-up period has begun but large areas of the are still open or only covered with thin sea ice. Compared to previous years/decades a huge area of 2-3 million km² sea ice is missing. Data from of 26/27 October.
