Department of Justice has confirmed an Aboriginal inmate was found unresponsive on Thursday morning at their Wyndham workcamp in the East Kimberley. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. DoJ says the death does not appear to be suspicious.

Correction: It is the second time. First was Senior Constable Robert Whittington in 2002 after a fatal shooting at Wadeye, also in the NT. Whittington was charged with murder then the charge was downgraded. He was never found guilty or convicted of any criminal wrongdoing.
