Photos like this will be in history books for centuries to represent who we were. A homeless "shelter" with social distancing marks in Las Vegas, a city with thousands of empty rooms right now.

I used cam twist a while ago and it was able to convert obs output into a virtual cam. I use the color profiles only on twitch streams for now. My coworkers are already praising the image quality, i think it might be an overkill to go beyond my setup for meetings.

It has only been a month of quarantine and I can stream 4K with cinematic custom color grading with pro audio and lighting. I can't image what's likely to happen if this continues for another two months.

One way to work on custom color grading is to modify the base LUT png file. Open your favorite video or photo editor, tweak the colors and explosure until you are happy with the result. Then, open the OBS' base LUT png file and apply the same settings. Then, use the new LUT file.

Some folks have been asking how I ended up having a cinematic look at my livestream. I was working on my own color grading for a while and OBS is supporting color grading profiles as LUT png files. Second image is my LUT file.

Thanks much for pointing this out. I care a lot about our community. SF is a very tough market already and with this pandemic a lot of employees will be in vulnerable situations pretty soon.

Today was the day I learned we had our first COVID-19 positive result among the members of my extended family 😨 He has been hospitalized and released in NYC. He is over 65 and still having difficulty breathing.

And most restaurants and small establishments operate on a very low margin in the US.

Their business is probably going to be discontinued for at least six months. In San Francisco, any business is a real estate business and San Francisco is literally the world's most expensive area.

People think delegating work is hard. Wait, until you have to learn how to take credit for delegated work.

And quite irrelevant. In the old world, cultural identity is more significant than what's in your DNA. We are all pretty crazily mixed and our current borders are pretty recent.

If you are wondering how I responded to the Census question, I only responded with my strongest cultural affiliation. I completely ignored that I'm part something else and then had a lot of self questioning whether it is a fair representation or not.

So, I'm trying to cope... but here, I'm in my 30s and struggling with my identity for the first time in my life. I was not prepared to handle any of this confusion and I didn't truly understand all dimensions of who I am or who I could be.

It's traumatizing. I was raised by people who used to see people from my ancestral culture as their enemies, so raised me to align with their own cultural identity. Today, my ancestral lands are culturally very alien to me and this disconnectivity gives me a lot of anxiety.

To be honest, I'm still trying to process what I have learned and how it alters the way I see the power dynamics in the world. I'm somewhat surprised and angry at the same time. I still can't grasp how I ended up being so disconnected from my own reality.

Since it's the Census day, let me share a story. Before coming to the US, I had no understanding of my *ethnical origins* (and I didn't care). Being exposed to this question here often made me trace my origins. It took years. It changed the way I see myself and our history.
