One for all HST fans - keep an eye out as the tickets will sell like hot cakes! Power car is 43302 (43102) of course.

I worked with Karen at Old Oak Common, where we both started as Driver's Assistants. She had to contend with a lot from the old steam boys, but she was a strong young lady and proved them all wrong. I am honoured to have known her.

Looks reminiscent of the Hornby livery applied to 43087 many years ago! Looks good and is most likely one of those going to EMR shortly.

I hope no one was hurt. As it's almost new the Azuma will be repaired, but I fear the HST power car will be the first to be withdrawn as a result.

A timely reminder that the railway, even when on a platform, is still dangerous. Obey the yellow lines guys, and always look over your shoulder (to avoid getting 'bowled' too). Stay safe everyone.

Probably an on-board crew training trip then? They seem to be running a lot of those at the moment, what with the 801/2s due to start running soon.

It's trains running on rails powered by electricity - pretty conventional to me regardless of the speed. It'll help reduce Anglo-Scottish domestic flights and reduce dependence on the car - and see thousands more trees planted...

Not a political intervention, simply an observation. If rail is clearly the greenest option surely it's worth supporting, by any party...
