Some of those who match will not have a job in a 5 years. Residency numbers doubled not by intelligent design, but due to program self interest. To believe supply matches demand is lunacy.

Unlikely for to acknowledge this but those who trained in the 70s-90s are well aware that this is where the field is heading. There simply is not enough demand for labor @ 200 residency grads/year

It's worse. At least the urologists tried to partner with us. Too vilified urorads rather than accepting it as a part of what a healthy community practice could offer, instead of just doing radicals/cryo/hifu on everyone. Maybe ASTRO can mend fences

They basically are going to try and hold hospitals and groups accountable through beefing up accreditation reqs is what i got out of it as they are powerless to influence CMS in this regard. Still an overall negative for the job market imo as APPs can be used to supervise
