Corbyn: we need to follow protocols and international law Pundits: oh my god he wants us all to learn Russian and salute Putin!

May says we should crack down on Russian money laundering = amazing leadership! Corbyn (days earlier) says we should crack down on Russian money laundering = boo! For shame!

If May wants to crack down on Russian money laundering, great. So why did her government shut down a Labour proposal to do exactly that in late Feb?

It feels like this is the first time that past Corbyn is really coming back to bite present Corbyn. In isolation, while many people I respect would disagree, I think nothing he is saying is unreasonable. But it's very hard to hear him as saying it in isolation.

Agree various (wrong, in my view) assumptions about Corbyn reduce some people’s capacity to hear this message, from him. Just wish pundits could get past that and hear the pretty necessary message...

I tend to find his rationale highly dodgy even when I agree with his conclusions. But yes, he'd be getting a different response today if he was a blank slate.

Corbyn: rule of law and due process. Also Corbyn: Tony Blair is a war criminal Funny how he can come to clear conclusions when he's attacking his own Leader, but not about Putin?

Nah, that's the Tory tabloid, dishonest meme version that we hear so often. Corbyn calls for due process of law in both cases. “If [Tony Blair has] committed a war crime, yes. Everyone who's committed a war crime should be [charged],”

Any sane person would exercise caution given the lack of real facts surrounding Salisbury. I think this will backfire badly for Theresa May.
