Regarding the volcano incident, while experts from GEONET noticed the increased volcano activities and warned, the challenge is the hazard communications among scientists, civil protection authorities and public. This is a typical challenge worldwide

Our analysis of the 2018 Anak Krakatoa volcanic tsunami revealed that a 100-meter wall of water was generated by the volcano eruption. Full article published in "Ocean Engineering" here (open access):
