It is amusing the Dungeons and Dragons- a game for small children- has a more accurate model of intelligence than the Quilette people do: it’s a minor bonus to an extremely noisy stochastic process that is easily swamped by situational advantage modifiers.

RACIST LADY: “this polygenic score predicts 0.03% of the variance in adult income, therefore black people shouldn’t get to vote.” DUNGEON MASTER: “the court wizard with +5 int is easily swayed by the arguments of the -2 int crown prince because he likes his head”

🤴 : higher Charisma-based skills and Charisma bonus. He’ll use Bluff and Diplomacy. The effect of the Int bonus is🧙‍♂️: 7 skill pts/lvl. dumb 🤴 : only 2. So🧙‍♂️: more ranks in Knowledges and Wisdom-based skills. Hopefully his Sense Motive roll defeats the🤴’s Bluff roll.

More like: 🧙‍♂️: makes INT check to realize it’s a terrible plan 🧙‍♂️: also makes WIS check to realize making a fuss over it is bad for his health 🧙‍♂️: “Great plan, your Highness” (rolls Deception with advantage and makes it)

Here’s where I realize a successful “Vizier” in Pathfinder needs the Int & Cha edge over the ruler so they can use Bluff & Diplomacy to Suggest Course of Action and be a puppet master.

That will work better than letting the 🤴make bad plans...because he’ll just blame the 🧙‍♂️!

The quilette people have started quote tweeting this, and half the replies are “this idiot doesn’t even know about g” and the other half are “Actually D&D is for adults”, so this is one of my most flawless trolls.

I did think on first reading that this would be a strong irl test of which cohort has the highest fragility. Please communicate rough share of mentions

Genuine, heartfelt astonishment that D&D crowd even at the races here. Humourless alt-righters vs instinctively self-mocking nerds?

"a minor bonus to an extremely noisy stochastic process that is easily swamped by situational advantage modifiers" Loving all the evidence you provided for that claim.
