Born in 1845: Mary Eliza Mahoney, the first African-American to work as a professionally trained nurse in the US. The daughter of freed slaves, Mahoney graduated as a registered nurse from the New England Hospital for Women and Children in 1879.

Final Exams are stressful for many of our Panthers, so please be kind to each other during Finals' studies. We know the library spaces are cozy as 3rd floor renovations continue, but the end of both are in sight! Hang in there ! (Also remember to: hydrate, rest, & eat well)

"Chancellor Sharp has authorized early release for the University to close at noon on Friday, April 19, 2019 for the Good Friday." This means that the library will also be closing at noon tomorrow and will be closed all day Saturday April 20th, however we will be open Sunday!
