His face gets super red as he apologizes and lets me know this is his first time checking out at this library. It was funny, but also really sweet! I love my job!

After scanning his ID, I hand it back but leave my hand out (I was waiting for him to hand me the book he wanted to check out), then he shakes my hand... 🙃 So I said, "Hello, nice to meet you! Can you hand me your book so I can check it out to you?"

Story time: A S came in the library to check out a book, so he walks up to my station and hands me his student ID (we use that as a library card).

It was my freshman year in college, I walked into my dorm to find a ton of Ss around the TV-I asked what was going on & was told to 👀 - I saw the 1st tower being hit by a ✈️ - one of the worst moments of my life!

I don’t have a choice — and I know the moment I don’t read through everything I’ll get called to the carpet. If you don’t want weekly faculty meetings, then check (and READ) your emails.

I’m gonna add to this — a lot of times the answer is in an email that went unread b/c the {person} didn’t think it pertained to them. 75% of the time it does pertain to them, and by them NOT reading it then wastes a lot of time for everyone else involved.
