To focus on community and unity is wise /
And realize the beauty when our voices harmonize /
We have an opportunity to re-acclimatize /
So put away your phone let’s look each other in the eyes

Most parts of configuration are static, the only dynamic parts are secrets. Only the part that injects secrets into config (thereby making the config a secret) should (and needs to be) dynamic.

To the person who figured out my honeypot is a honeypot could you please stop putting the picture of Pooh bear with a jar of honey on it?
Its like this person's life mission, I've blocked him on:
- Client
- IPs (now on Tor ffs)
- The image (he just edits 1 pixel every time...)

It’s also a fantastic place to put scripts generated by nix expressions.

In particular, those are GtkHeaderBars, with the “show close button” property set to true

All GNOME apps moved to that scheme afaik. It also includes the giant header bar.

It’s en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNOME_Cal…
The minimize/maximize/close buttons are embedded in the application (as a GUI widget) instead of being handled by the window manager. I think the switch to that a few years ago was a huge mistake.
It’s essentially the other direction.

Have you seen these? (I don’t have window borders configured in my window manager, that’s drawn by the gnome apps themselves.) pic.twitter.com/e5ejGQWpjw

I'm not sure how many people appreciate just how much of a maintenance challenge Windows represents for many open-source projects. Before I started working on GHC I had assumed it was bad.
However, now I know; no, it's much much worse.
